Filipino food: only one I know is Lumpia (yum!). I associate Filipino food with two feelings: hospitality / welcome and volume (related ideas). The times where I've had it, it has been generously heaped on a plate as part of a community gathering (school fair / fall festival type event).

filipino food: love it all, except balut. curious what flavors and recipes are in the canon that don’t center around meat. but the closest i’ve ever been to butchering a pig is in the philippines— the farm to table vibe is strong there. should we go to learn to butcher?

snacks i ate yesterday: popcorn. salt and vinegar chips. chocolate peanut butter fudge. tj’s peanut butter puffins cereal in oat milk (dubious broth). tates choc chip cookies. fresh green grapes. cherry tomatoes off our vines (thanks elliott!).
